Drake University Tenure
He spent a decade on the Drake University Volleyball staff.
In 2023, he contributed to a historic season, guiding the team to a 30-8 record, the most wins in program history. The team advanced to the MVC Championship and had several standout players:
Haley Bush was named MVC Player of the Year and All American
Addison Beagle was named Freshman of the Year.
Mariana Rodrigues made the All-MVC first team.
Jada Wills made the All-MVC second team.
Drake finished as the MVC Tournament runner-up and had a remarkable run in the NIVC, defeating Weber State, Grand Canyon, Pacific, and Davidson. They narrowly missed the championship, falling to Boston College in the title match.
Prior Experience
Before joining Drake, he was an assistant coach at his alma mater, Cardinal Stritch University.
At Cardinal Stritch, he oversaw both the men's and women's volleyball programs, managing on-court and off-court aspects.
He also served as a camp instructor at the University of Wisconsin and Iowa State University.
He has coaching experience at various high schools, including Aurora Central High School in Colorado and St. Francis High School.
He has coached club volleyball at multiple levels, including Panhandle Volleyball Club in Nebraska, IPVA and Powerplex.
He was involved in starting All Iowa Attack Volleyball Club.
He has also coached beach volleyball at Elite Beach.
Playing Career
As a player at Cardinal Stritch, he was a defensive specialist and libero.
He helped the team reach the NAIA Nationals twice and win a conference title in 2009.
He also played beach volleyball in the EVP tour and Volleyamerica leagues.
